Default Cat converter to exhaust gasket?

Alright, so before writing everything, I DID do a search on this and couldn't find an exact answer. So anyway, I just recently bought a megan racing drift spec exhaust for my 05 s2k. I read up on another post about this exhaust that a replacement gasket is not included, and it isn't; the guy who said that said that you should put on a new gasket, but some people say it isn't necessary, and it wont leak without one. Someone said that the stock exhaust never even came with one so it shouldn't be a problem. Can anyone reflect on this? I'm planning to install it very soon so I would just like to know if it wont actually leak without a gasket. I would think that it doesn't matter which exhaust system it is when talking about leaks due to the lack of a gasket. Thanks!

Whoever told you the stock exhaust never came with one is an idiot. It WILL leak to some degree without one in there. You really won't notice any performance increase/decrease if it is leaking, but sometimes when there are exhaust leaks they can make really annoying whistling noises, so it's best to just put it in there, the way Honda intended it to be.

Alright cool thanks. So would using the one that is already on from the stock exhaust work? If I wanted a new one, where could I buy a gasket for the s2k not online? Dealership?

If it's in good shape you can get by with reusing them sometimes. But yes, a dealership, otherwise AutoZone can even order that gasket for you. It's pretty cheap regardless.
