CEL light/rev limit at 3000
Ok. heres the problem
I have a 2001 s2k. bassic bolt ons etc.. i had a battery relocation kit but debris caused the main hot to short out and ground it self for an extended amount of time. Once we cut the battery relocation crap out of the way and mounted a battery in the oem possition. i have a CEL light on. Ran a scanner throught the system and p0335 (generic not honda) is the CEL, which according to my little book is a crankshaft possition senor A code. Now im confused. did i just fry the sensor and it needs to be replaced or what. If so is that hard?... please help me!

i located the three pin connector you refered to, and it couldnt be in a worse spot. Ground zero for the sort was 6 inchs back on the wire for that three pin conector where their wire tied to the manifold. thats where the main hot cut its way through. ( im an idioit i know ). So the wires themselfs didnt take an odvious damage. The protctive plastic around them is melted but the wires themselves look good. Just to be sure i cut them about an inch away from the conector and about an inch away from where they Y out of the harness ( about 6 inchs away) and replaces them with some 16 guage. Cleared the system py pulling the hot of the bat and started her up again. Same basic symptoms. The car takes a second or two longer on the starter and starts up to a CEL light. Where do i go from here?
Sounds like you still have an issue with your wiring repairs. To further complicate things, the sensor input wire uses sheilded wire back to the PCM.
You cut the connector out of the circuit? Not what I would have done, especially now that you still have a wiring issue. Check all of your splices, and make sure you've got them going to the correct wire.

Ok so is it possible to trace the leads to the sensor back to the o2 sensor, so i can bypass the possibly melted harness and run new leads. if so, anybody know where they are ( what color and in which clip ) keeping in mind that i dont have a wiring diagram. If not does anybody know where this information might be found.
And also. If the sensor is toast can i simply order a new part from honda. Is it just a bolt of reature to the intake manifold or is it more than that?
Please help me my baby is sick
Thanks

You can order a new CKP sensor from any honda dealer. The 02 sensor isn't even in thr same circuit.
You really need the Helm ETM for your year car, and know how to read the wiring diagram. www.helminc.com
I'd suggest finding a shop you're comfortable with that has access to this info if you're not comfortable messing with it anymore.

Is the senosr the one with the three pin connector and two bolts holding in into the drivers side face of the intake manifold. Because if so i will oreder one and replace it to see if that may have been the problem
