Hello,

So today I changed out my stock TCT for a Ballade TCT and took it for a test drive to see if the rattle would go away. I checked once the engine was hot and the rattle is even louder now..

Did I maybe install the new TCT on backwards? Is that possible & would it effect it?
I did turn off the a/c while the car was running and the rattle went dead silent.
Then I turned the a/c on and it still stayed silent. Not sure if it had anything to do with it.


Thoughts?

New update: just test drove it again and it seems that the a/c seems to have something to do with it. When the a/c is off it doesn't rattle but when I turn it on something rattles.

Haven't checked the oil since I had just driven it. I'll check once it cools down.

Maybe, it takes awhile for the oil to get into the passageways of that tensioner?

Your a/c and timing tensioner have nothing to do with each other. Are you sure your hearing tensioner noise?

Does it rattle less with the clutch pressed in?
