Default Check Engine Light w/ VSA light

Hey everybody,
I was driving home after being stuck in traffic and out of the blue my "check engine" and "vsa!" warning lights came on together. Afterwards, the car started stuttering everytime I let off the gas. It felt like a bunch of random jerking. I was able to make it home without any other issues, but it was an uncmofortable ride. A few days prior to this incident, I had changed my rear brakes. Does anyone know what may be the cause of this or can anyone give me any info on what it may be? I have her parked for now and I'm waiting for my brother to bring over the code reader device.. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks .

what year is you S? I have an 06 and have the same issue, the problem is the TPs sensor. After doiing some research i found it seems to be a common issue with 06/07 DBW systems. you are gonna have to replace the APP sensor. This is the part you will need.

but before you drop the money on it. I heard of a few ways that might fix the issue. (1) check the throttle cable tension, if its loose tighten it back up, (2) clean the sensore pins try these then reset the codes. If they come back then you have to buy the part.

I recently took her to Honda and unfortunately the part was back ordered so I won't get it til the end of this month. It cost $175 for the part alone and the labor will be around $100. It doesn't look that hard to replace, but I don't want to try and mess anything up so I'll let honda deal with it. I'll keep an update and tell you how everything goes.

Go to Rockauto.com they will ship you the part in 3 days. The install is easier than changing your oil. all you need it a 10mm socket with extension, and a 12mm open ended wrench.

So, I've finally had the APP sensor replace. I've been driving her for about a week and have not had any issues with it. As far as how she rides.. she's definitely smoother. I can't really tell if it's loss any power, but I have notice that it doesn't have much of a pull that I would want it to have when I accelerate. I can't remember if it was like that before, but maybe i'll invest in an intake or something..
