clunk/popping noise from steering

Sway bar links are ok. It's not suspension type noise. It sounds like a body clunk noise.

Check the ball-joints, and all the control arm pivots. The bushings have a metal sleeve in them that likes to stick to the bolt. Enough cycles of break/seize will wear the insert out. Make sure you subframe bolts are tight too!

Hey man, i actually saw it today too. I was able to duplicate the noise while turning steering wheel rapidly left and right. I saw the rack bushings move too much. I re tightened the bolts but obviously looks like the bushings are worn.

What did you end up doing? Replaced the bushings?
