Clutch pedal gone randomly stiff
 

I've recently fitted a new engine and also a new clutch at the same time, the new clutch has now done just over 1000 miles and after a long drive yeaterady it randomly went stiff and sticky. Clutch is still engaging as it should just loads heavier. Checked my clutch fluid which was at the correct level but my first thought was maybe the shave cylinder. Anyone had this issue that could say for sure what it is?
