Default clutch pedal not coming back up

well i started out with a differant problem at first. originally i was having to press the clutch pedal further and further down to get the car in gear, so i thought slave cylinder. about an hour ago before i replaced my slave cylinder i noticed my clutch pedal would'nt come back up on its own. i went ahead and replaced the slave cylinder and i am still having the problem with clutch pedal not coming back up. please help i am completly lost

Did you bench bleed the slave cylinder? How did the clutch fluid look? Did you flush that out as well?

Since its installed already just keep bleeding with the pumping method. It will work since u replaced the master and the slave.

does this usually take awhile? i have had my wife out pumping the clutch and holding it down while i open the bleed for the little bit of pressure that has built to escape(AIR). But we have been doing that for about 15 minutes. do i just need to continue doing the same thing? oh and should i eventually feel a differance in the clutch?

It should get full pressure in a few min. Something else might be wrong. Did u check to see if ur master is leaking near the clutch pedal?

ill go check behind the clutch pedal. would it really be noticable, i mean would fluid be visible? the master cylinder reservoir is still full, i dont know if that means anything. thanks for everyone, your being very helpful.
