clutch pedal spring? soft pedal

Default clutch pedal spring? soft pedal

i have a 01 s2000 with a new oem clutch. drives fine. my brother has a 01 s2000 with old oem clutch. i have bleed my clutch but i am no where near the springy action his pedal has. is there a spring on the pedal that wears out? what could it be?

Higher resistance is a sign of age, yours is fine.

Put 50,000 miles on it, it'll get nice and firm again once the diaphragm springs on the pressure plate wear down a bit.

Was the pp not changed to feel lighter? The part # did change

Friction disc was updated to fix clutch buzz. There was an update to the pp as well( part number changed forsure) but I just had my clutch done and the difference in pedal feel between the older style and newer style pp is noticeable. If you have driven an ap2 you will notice this as well

With age comes the deterioration of grease. Key points are the interior pocket of the t-o bearing, bearing land where the fork fingers contact the bearing, fork pivot, and slave ball end.
