Code P0410
Hey fellow s2k guys, I'm keep throwing this code and Iv changed out the relay and pump, checked for leaks, everything. Is there anything I could be missing?
Please shed some input or thoughts. My tags are due march and idk what to do. Please help!!! |
Did you check the flow of the air check valve?
|
Where is that located?
|
As far as I remember, P0410 "Air Pump Circuit Malfunction" is caused by a fault in air pump system (e.g. pump not turning on) NOT the vacuum system. If it were a vacuum problem, you'd throw P0411 "Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow".
Can you hear the air pump after a cold start? FYI, the pump is located under the driver side headlight. Inspect: -The pump (for stator shell melting, proper operation) -Air pump relay for proper operation (located next to air pump) -Air pump fuse (small under-the-hood fuse box located near the ABS) May not be related but here's a service bulletin: http://www.izzeracing.com/2009-05-26_200503_411.pdf |
That's weird, the code im throwing is a for a secondary air injection system. So I swapped out the air pump and relay. I will check all of the above.

if you can't fix it and just want to bypass it with no CEL, do what I do and get an air pump simulator from izze engineering.
You can leave your air pump alone and install this, or remove/sell/throw away anything from the air pump and not worry about the cel again. |
Never thought of that. Is that something I buy online or I can get at advance/auto zone?

but here's the link http://www.izzeracing.com/Site/Honda...Simulator.html I've been running it for over a year not a single issue. |
Does the car have an OEM intake? If not it is most likely the orientation of the check valve. Normally P0411 but I have seen P0410 thrown as well (when revving a cold engine to see how the new intake sounded).
