compression?

long story short i ran into some oil starvation and spun a rod bearing. just went to do a compression test to see the shape of the rings and found 208-220 roughly on all cyl. ive searched and found different things for what it should be. ive heard 240, 230, all the way down to 180 which i know has to be wrong. anyone got any input? f20c btw.

altitude makes a difference in those numbers you were researching. it seems fine to me but what is your altitude?

as long as the cylinders are consistent between the 4 of them you are good, dont stress the ultimate number as there is variation due to technique and gauge. I think you are in the ballpark of being decent. Maximum variation between any side by side cylinder is approx. 28 psi. , so your engine wouldnt exceed that number from what you have listed. I don't think your cylinders were scuffed when you experienced the oil starvation, if they were it would be very obvious.
