Correct timing
How to put my cam shaft And crankshaft in (tdc) correct timing. My s2k won’t start and I think it needs to be put In correct timing. Thanks. |

There's an illustration in the Service Manual. It's even on Page 6-12 of the manual commonly on line with the Japanese bikini model on the cover.

ok I see how would I turn the gears for the camshaft on the intake and exhaust clockwise or counterclockwise? And also how would I turn the gear for the camshaft? Using a wrench or some kind of special tool? Should I take out the spark plugs when I do this? Just wanna make sure the installation is done right. Also how would I test it to make sure its right besides trying to start it up? Thanks for the help |
19mm socket on the crank pulley and turn it clockwise, you don't need to remove the spark plugs but its much easier to turn the engine with them removed.
