Cruise not working

The button wont light up. Already checked fuse 47. Has anyone had a module go bad? Thanks.

It is almost always the white nipple under the pedal that breaks. It's a cheap fix.

Thanks, I'll look at that.

It's the little plastic part on the clutch pedal that makes the cruise control think the clutch is depressed.

Have you not driven this car on long trips, 100+ miles straight, out on the open road? Give it a shot sometime. :tipwink:

Under the gas pedal?

Pretty sure it's under the clutch pedal. Not under-under but up top were the pivot is.

There's an electrical plunger up there that doesn't get depressed (or pressed?) when this part falls off and the cruise control thinks the clutch is depressed and kills cruise like it does if you change gears.

That part falling off probably wouldn't cause the activation light to go out when pressed would it?

Cruise control -- and air conditioning!, things those Brit roadsters of long ago never had-- are vital on long drives of (say) several hundred miles. Unless you want to be "that guy" whose highway speed is constantly varying and making the, admittedly few, guys behind you nuts.

Keep the spend constant while you're texting as well. :)

Set it for the speed limit and when your Valentine 1 goes off just lift off the gas pedal and you're all nice and legal.
