Default Cylinder # 4 Misfire was told broken piston rings

Hey everyone,

I am trying to figure out a plan of action for the current issue I have with my car.

Around December I started noticing a slight misfire on cold start, it would ring up as misfire on all 4 cyl but at the time it was very rare. I would say once a week or 2 weeks..
I figure it was time to do a tune up so I went ahead and ordered 4 coil packs along with spark plugs, also ordered a gator back belt along with other misc gaskets that needed to be replaced like the front O ring and etc.

Problem persisted so I got on here and started doing some research, came up that injectors could be clogged up and maybe the cause of this so I went ahead and got all my injectors ultrasonic cleaned and replaced the o rings along with it.

Again, the problem persisted so the shop I took the car to did a compression test and they came back to be 210 210 180 140 (140 beign cyl # 4) they told me they did a wet test and compression jumped up to 180 so they suspect it would be broken piston rings and suggested a motor rebuild or a swap.

What im trying to figure out is why is it only on cold start and why when the car is warmed up it runs fine.
I have an 04 ap2
118,920 miles
Intake and exhaust
car does not burn oil at all neither it smokes on idle or while driving.

I have had this car for 3 years and It has never given me any issues, I have done all the maintenance myself and kept the car very well cared for.

your input will be greatly appreciated!
thank you all

Valves adjusted? Did they do a leak-down test?

Would suggest a bore scope to see if any bore damage has occurred.

please keep us updated.

the ring issue is pretty clear cut when the wet test shows a jump in compression.
