I have some extra time, and would think programming a data logger for our cars might be an interesting project. Does anyone know what I would need to do to interface the S2000's engine parameters with a laptop? What components would I need to make this happen? I would think I at least need a A/D converter - anyone know what kind is cheap and works well for this application? Is there an easy way to use the OBD-II information somehow? I saw on a vette site that they have a logger available that takes advantage of this. Otherwise, I guess I need to sample voltages from specific wires, which I'm comfortable doing as well.

Does anyone know some sites or places I can go for more research into this?
