Stay the course homie.

Also, the DISI 2.3L is just a violent engine for oils. The combustion process creates a significant amount more soot than the F20C. In general, since it's an early DI design, it's going to be the hardest on oils out of basically anything save some N54/N55 talk.

I'm glad that the Pennzoil Platinum is a good oil for the F20C. The Mazdaspeed guys swear by them and to be honest with you, I can't be more happy with this oil.

Although you're right, the DISI 2.3L hates oil. I've check my oil in that car just 500 miles after an oil change, and I'm like... "This looks like mud water..."

what dirty oil?

even if the oil was dirty, you would just do an oil change, not change the brand entirely.

fuel dilution will do that in some direct injected engines, my 2016 Civic was terrible for that with the 1.5l turbo, though my Subaru does not do that at all with it's 2.0 l direct injected motor.

Yeh the DISI was a POS in terms of fuel dilution. I did a few UOA's and found upwards of 3-4% fuel dilution on Mobil 1! It was the most bonkers thing I've ever seen.
