Also, the DISI 2.3L is just a violent engine for oils. The combustion process creates a significant amount more soot than the F20C. In general, since it's an early DI design, it's going to be the hardest on oils out of basically anything save some N54/N55 talk.

Although you're right, the DISI 2.3L hates oil. I've check my oil in that car just 500 miles after an oil change, and I'm like... "This looks like mud water..."

I'm glad that the Pennzoil Platinum is a good oil for the F20C. The Mazdaspeed guys swear by them and to be honest with you, I can't be more happy with this oil.
