But that mad tyte cooling y0! Totally worth it for the drive to your favorite vapemod shop.

Vent more hoods! Increase my car's resale value!
I did this on my Miata autocross car years ago (2011) and have never seen any rust. That's saying a lot when you consider my car came from Boston, required some rust cleanup when I first got it.

It is. Made a noticeable difference for me on the Miata and it generally just looks good in my opinion. The support structure under the S2000's hood lends itself to an even better
shape for the cutouts.

Default Carbon fiber hood

Anyone try this with a carbon fiber hood? Worried about running into issues with splintering and not being able to get the edges smooth. Just curious

Default Whomever is worried about rain on a vented hood...

Solution 1 (for non-welders or if you already cut your hood like this only) make thin rain covers, drill (4) 3/16" holes on all corners 1/2" off edge on COVERS. STEP 2.. TRACE HOLES ON HOOD. INSTALL WING NUTS AND BOLTS WHENEVER IT RAINS. Store all rain covers IN A BAG IN TRUNK OR HOME. Solution 2 ( **JB welding big vents only.** Aluminum weld small vents only. Because it will warp if you weld big vents 4sho) trace a 3side cut line on each vent. Bend and Lift as high as you want. Measure the high side. Fabricate side triangle gussets. Make a 1/4" to 1/2" rip to connect across the vent opening on the bottom edge of opening between the 2 gussets at vented opening. Tack, weld, and paint.. Boom
