Dragging Noise, Driver's Side
Yup, another "What's that noise?" thread I'm afraid!
I've got a UK facelift '08 that's done 93k and I'm hearing a constant noise when the car's in motion over a few mph. It's reminiscent of an exhaust that's dropped and is scraping along the floor; metal, scrape-y, constant sound but with some variance in the actual noise.
I haven't managed to get the car up on stands yet to see whether it occurs with wheel rotation. I've listened to just about every youtube video I could find involving S2000 noises and found nothing similar. Has anyone else heard something similar and managed to ID what the noise was?
Thanks in advance for any insights!

- The noise is only audible from the driver's side; it's unnoticeable from the passenger side
- It's quiet enough or at the wrong frequency to be picked up by mobile phones or the like.
- The pitch does not change with RPM, wheel speed, throttle, brake or cornering, and occurs with clutch engaged or disengaged.
- The volume does not change with RPM, wheel speed, throttle, brake or cornering, and occurs with clutch engaged or disengaged.

Stone lodged in the brakes maybe or back brake plate bent into disc or disc touching due to rust build up & at a Ratio of 3:1 quite often need cleaning.

Lack of clarity here on my part; I've had the car jacked up and poked around under it, but it didn't occur to me to run it jacked up to check for the noise then. There isn't a stick stuck anywhere... anywhere obvious at least!
