I run an f22 with an ap1 trans. Its got a better gear spread for the added trq and shorter rev limit. F20 needs the gear reduction of the ap2 trans. Ive run both in my car. I do miss having the ap2 overdrive for freeway cruising.

This.

My diff blew a while back on my ap1. So I opted to get an ap2 diff/driveshaft replacement. Everything went well until my mechanic pointed out that the bolts from the driveshaft were not flush with the yolk to the transmission. Lots of wiggle room. So I brought my car to blacktrax here in the bay area, and they pointed me in the right direction, buying an ap2 yolk to bolt on to my ap1 trans as well as installing.
