ELD Problems... P1298
Dear all,
Joined S2Ki to hopefully find a solution to this problem.
My 2001 S2K keeps blowing fuse no. 6 under the dash. its a 15amp for the ELD. I get three codes P1298 ELD Voltage High, P0135 O2 sensor bank 1 Heater Failure, P0141 O2 sensor bank 2 heater malfunction. There are a few posts on this but none of them are very conclusive. I've already ruled out the obvious solutions which are the pinched 02 sensor wires, Air pump control Solenoid cut wire by serpentine belt, and broken ELD wires coming off the underhood fuse box.
Took the car to my Mechanic, he said that the ELD is bad and I need to replace the underhood fuse box. He couldn't order me one (back ordered) so I bought one off of ebay used and installed it myself. My S is still blowing the fuse just as before. I don't know if the ELD in the purchased Fuse box was also bad... but aside from buying another fuse box "just to see" I'm really out of answers.
Could it just be a pinched wire elsewhere that nobody else has mentioned before? No obviously corroded or loose ground wires that I can find.
My fellow S2K brethren.... I need your help!!!
