You said it had a little too much oil.... what’s your PCV setup like, just out of curiosity?

DIY catch can. Basically routed the catch can from PCV valve to water bottle and then routed to intake manifold.

Found this junked s2k. Front end damage, engine looks fine, but doesn't start - probably because it is missing the radiator. Has stock wheels, intake filter and Honda oil filter so likely babied... Eh? https://www.iaai.com/Vehicle?itemID=...oadRecent=True

Looks to be a good find, Low mileage, DBW, no obvious mods... price?

Auction will be sent for the future. Likely $5k plus shipping it.

V6 swap in the S2000? Or new car?

I feel like these "bulletproof" F20/F22 engines aren't so bulletproof once you want to race them. The obvious counter argument would be that any engine on a track will experience more wear, but dropping valves seems like a consistent failure I want a solution that is more durable and fixing it isn't worth more than a bar of gold.

In racing, valve train is considered a consumable. This is more prevalent of Ti IN valves but same holds true with any valves. The top WILL eventually pop and it will do so faster with higher spring rates.

I'm not sure what the inconsistency is, but every single head ive seen that has either dropped a valve or had retainers starting to crack or already badly cracked, has been on the number 3 cylinder.

Shut the front door. It happened on cylinder 3 on my F22c as well. Left side of the intake to be exact.
