Engine noise - intermittent high pitch sound

Looking for some help in isolating engine noise. Got the head redone recently:

Ferrea valve springs/valves/retainers. BC2 cams. Ballade sports timing chain gear.

Check your Pulley bearings on your tensioner and your Idler pulley, could possibly be a belt but those are typically more consistent. This thread will help you: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/106...ulley-bearing/

traced it to this sensor making that hissing/chatter noise. Any ideas why?

I'm unsure of what that sensor is, or does...Hmmm. Where does the rubber hose go to that is attached to it?

There should be two vacuum lines connected to that sensor. I believe it is the Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Control Valve. Are the vacuum hoses connected?

yup. even tried reversing them to see what would happen. same noise. I drove 690 miles today and so far as I can yell nothing is awry and I don't have any CELS. :shrugs:
