Engine Torque Damper Bolt Size?

Just bought a torque damper, yet I've seemed to misplace the bolt that screws into the engine block area.

Does anyone happen to know what size the bolt is?

Any input will be much appreciated! :hello:

Hex sockit head size 10mm x 25 mm x 1.25 pitch

Good luck :)

Back from '09!

Yeah... my NRG damper did not come with that hex head bolt that should go into the engine head area to fasten the small bracket... I have no idea why they didn't include it!

Note:

-NRG damper requires cutting of part of the car body (fuse block mounting brakcet) under the hood, as well as cutting a large circle in the heat shield (or shield removal)

-Ingalls damper requires no cutting of anything, and has a greater effective leverage point over the engine. Superior fit and function

I have an RHD model so the fuse block isn't gonna be affected.

I will leave the heat shield off for now but I can always process it properly or buy a J's Racing one if I really like the ETD and want to keep it on in the long run.

My only problem is getting the correct bolt that must fasten the small bracket to the head. I bought one that is M10x25 but the thread pattern doesn't match. What exactly do I need?

A standard M10 bolt has 1.5mm thread pitch, you need one with fine threads (1.25mm).

Thanks mate. I see you changed your avatar ;)

So I'll go look for a finer pitch of 1.25mm because I think the one I found is some generic 1.5mm...

As for the length I wonder now if 25mm is too long or not because that bolt hole is actually quite shallow and the ETD's bracket isn't that thick. What length do you reckon?

I reckon you should measure so you can get the perfect length :)
You could always ad a washer if it's slightly to long.

I used my screwdriver to test the depth of the hole earlier XD
Good idea. The other two bolts have washers as well.
