I went in for a PPI at this shop before... short story.. he wanted to up-sell me this "Timing Correction/Offset Gear" after a compression check (because a full head rebuild would obviously be expensive, and hard to sell to me, I assume).
He didn't check anything else though for the PPI - chassis, suspension, paint/body, other drivetrain parts, etc... didn't even put it on a lift.. friendly guy (in a salesman kinda way imo)... but super whack PPI imo, lol. Only single thing checked was compression... for $100 iirc.

In the future you can bring it over to our shop and we will thoroughly look over everything. Even put on the lift free of charge, we have a couple. lol

It wasn’t the TCT after all. It’s the throw out bearing in my clutch. It makes a very similar noise but goes away when I push in the clutch. I was just hearing it as the T TCT. Oops

im glad it worked out for you in not being an internal or t/c issue. nice to hear it wasnt the ballade tct, more often then not people wont update posts like this which will lead people to think the noise/failure was caused by something it wasnt... wonder if everyone who came out and told you ballade sold you a shit part will eat crow or if theyll continue to maintain that its a shit product

I don't have any opinions on the TCT but maybe you should edit your first post to tell people to skip to your post#43 becuase reading the title to this thread could lead to the wrong conclusions.
