Default Exedy KHC06 kit with OEM bearings

I need a new clutch for my 2001. Original clutch is starting to go out at 120k and has had the buzz forever. I was thinking of the Exedy kit since it is OEM, but I have heard the bearings are garbage that come with the kit. I would buy the OEM clutch release and clutch pilot bearing. What are your thoughts? Will the buzz be cured?

If you're on a budget that sounds fine. I've heard some people on this forum report a slight buzz. There's a few that also had the clutch disk itself fail (spring housing failure). The OEM clutch disk has been updated to eliminate the buzz so if you're not on a budget I would go with a complete OEM kit. I think Ballade Sports and Science Of Speed use OEM components in their clutch kits if you want a bundled price.

There is nothing OEM about anything Exedy, it's just crap, at least it seems to be for our car.
The OEM friction disc and pressure plate is made by FCC and I highly suggest you go for these if you want a trouble and buzz free clutch.

Previous owner of my S had such exedy clutch installed (at least with oem bearing), though it lasted for around 100k km but ended with springs falling out of disc.
Clutch disc still had a lot of material on it.

I was under the impression that the OEM clutch is made by Exedy. I read it on a few forum posts.

Yes its not to uncommon people think that, but it is not true.

Buy a clutch set, urea grease, bearings and release sleeve from a Honda dealer. Nothing else really works.

Its 2019, my bro. Even Jesus knew this information.

OEM is made by FCC (Fuji Chemical Co) and has nothing to do with Exedy.
Exedy just uses deceitful marketing to refer to their inferior clutch as 'oem replacement'. Don't choose Exedy.
