EZ-On Soft top fitment issues

I am convinced that there is a small simple step that has been skipped or over looked because I have seen so many old post where most owners were able to resolve the issue! Unfortunately most image links are broken and the majority of the users no longer chime into s2ki.

I would love to figure it out and enjoy the top off more but no luck yet, may have to take it to an installer for a second opinion

the only solution i know is to not purchase an EZ-On top. i know this doesn't necessarily help but i've installed 200+ S2000 tops, mostly Robbins, and other manufacturers don't seem to have this issue.
