F22 into an AP1.
Hey guys, Im about to purchase an 04' F22 (non drive by wire) for my AP1, other than the ECU and Wiring harness, What is necessary for the swap?

Why are you putting a F22 into a AP1?
|
yeah why??? Thats what id like to know
|
You can keep your AP1 ecu and wire harness.
Step 1: You'll have to grind a small tab off the fuel line so it fits th AP2 rail. Step 2: keep the AP1 flywheel step 3: thats it :) |
I seems as thought i spun a bearing in my f20 with 108,000k on it, and the F22 is the right price. The ap1 ecu and harness are compatible with the F22? Are you sure? For some reason that doesnt make sense to me, different redlines and shit... Theres nothing else i need??

rev limiter won't kick in until 9000rpm, so just keep an eye on the tach and make sure to shift before 8200rpm

f22 = more torque and stronger valve retainers ;). There are quite a few people that have done this swap and rev the f22 to 9000 without ill effects
