Is a fender liner needed to mount a bumper?
As the title says, my original ap2 bumper was only mounted by the center engine under cover and I still had the driver side fender liner but passenger side was missing. The reason why I ask this is because I just purchased from Honda a complete ap2 CR front end and I'd prefer to mount everything correctly. But I can't see if the fender liners have anything to hold the bumper/lip to. Thanks in advance

So,
The bumper has the 5 or so bolts below the hood and one in each wheel well. The fender liners and front air dam also attach to the lower part of the bumper. Structurally the upper mounts hold it to the car, but the car looks tacky when you can see through the grill to the ground. I believe each fenderliner has 2 or 3 bolts that bolt it to the lower lip of the bumper but are not needed for structure, that just attaches the fender liners so they dont flap.

Decided to go to Honda and just purchase a new fender liner and new center splash guard w/ clips, just to play it safe since I already dropped $900 on a new cr lip with bumper and all bolts. thanks for the help!
