Expansion of the thread above. Does anyone know what the frame measurements should be for MY04?

I think it may actually be in the HELMS's Body Repair Manual. It is for the AP1. (maybe in both, I don't know).

EDIT: It's like $50.00 and about as thick as a magazine.

There are tons of dimensions which define the chassis and its components. There are 3 Helm Manuals which are, for lack of a better term the "Main Manual" the "Electricla manual" and the "Body Repair Manual". Your question is answered in the body repair manual. As I said there are a ton of dimensions. There are three main areas checked to see if the chassis is sprung. The engine compartment, The Upper Body, and the Underbody. The upper body points are easy to access and will usually verify you are out of wack. The problem as you describe it should be easlily validated with this set of points and dimensions.

Regards,

Utah

Upper Body Measuring Dimensions-Openeing Repair Chart
There are 13 primary locative start points as noted:
Point "A"
Location: This point is located at the lower windshield edge at the air scoop grill mounting hole.(1 place)

Points "B" and"C" are windshield opening flage notches. The first,"C" is loctaed in the center of the bottom of the plasitc strip holding in the windshield. It is a small "v" notch. The two "B" notches will be found at the midpoint on either side of the frame (again "v" notch in the plastic holding in the windshield.(3 places)

Point "D" Windshield top frame center. On the inside edge (rubber seal). This point defines where the "top" of the car is (high point in center of windshiled)(1 place)

Points "E", "F" "G" and "H" are located in the door openeings and are notched. Point E is located as a flange notch on the upper corner of each windshild end (i.e. 2 E points). F point is located at th front edge of the door inside (as G and H as well). G is the center of the door cutout, inside edge. H is located at the back of he door opening inside . All are identified as small v or U notches.(8 places total)

Point I is located in the rear fender extension weatherstrip mounting hole. This is on the inside of the car right by where the "brushes" protect the top retract mechanism. (2 places)

Point J is the lower rear window flange notch. Small notch on the inner edge of your window well. Right in the center at the joint where the top attaches to the traunk deck.

Point K Rear window lower convex bead - Open the trunk. This point is located in the center of the weatherstrip which seals the truck nearest the rear window.

Point L - There are two which are located as notches on either side of the inner edge of the trunk. Open the trunk. The points are on either side about 2/3 the way to the rear window.

Point "M" Rear Panel Upper Panel-Is a flange notch located at the back of the trunk. Open the trunk. M is in the center right where the trunk lid contatcs the rear bumper.

These are fo AP1. Not positive the diffences but I would assume they are few on the structural side. Good luck.
