I may be all wet since French is my 4th language, but my understanding is that it is like saying Judas Priest rather than take the Savior's name in vain. Swearing was once a sin in Catholic France (hard to believe anything is a sin there now), and in proper French the word "bleu" replaced "Dieu" altogether. My Blue! Sacred Blue!

It might also have had some parlay in that blue was the color of French nobility. But what do i know - I am an American war monger and cretin!

..... multiple stacked spacers made of correct material is far better than single spacer made from wrong material (make sure quicky machine shop job is not too "quicky")
