Default Hasport motor mounts: 62a or 70a?

Hasport motor mounts, does anyone have experience with them?

62a street or 70a race?
It’s a street car but not a daily driver, 500whp.
I ordered 70a but now thinking it may have been the wrong choice. Reading forums it sounds like they have some pretty aggressive vibrations.

I know there are a few older posts on this question. How have these mounts broken in after time?

Thanks for any advice!

Pretty sure I had some 70a mounts in a K-swapped EK4 I built about 15 years ago. The vibrations rattled the buttons on my old head unit loose and turned the rear-view mirror into a blur-fest. I definitely didn't want for anything stiffer on the street. If they were in fact 62a mounts I was using, I'd hate to think how harsh 70a would be.

I'd never do poly mounts on a street car, DD or not. Go with HardRace, Spoon, Vibratechnics or anything else that utilizes hard rubber and a mounting style in the same geometry as factory. Cancel that order asap lol. Cannot stress enough how much poly engine mounts suck

I agree fully with Kyle on that.
Go for the Vibratechnics "fast road" mounts instead they are great.

Thank you for the reply. I’ll look into those mounts. I assume they are all as tall as OEM motor mounts? The Hasport was ideal because of its low profile. The piping for my wastegate recirculating dump sits right on the OEM motor mount causing a lot of heat transfer and contact vibration when turning hard.

The subject of poly engine mounts has been widely debated, since the perception of NVH and vibrations are so subjective. We've seen people that say its fine for them to daily 85A mounts while others squeal at the added vibrations of 62A mounts. What I can say, because of the way aftermarket poly mounts are designed (minus vibratechnics - appears to be based off of the OEM design), they all add slightly more vibrations at different RPM ranges. How slight would be up to your feel and tolerance.

My suggestion would be to reach out to your local S2000 owners that may have the mounts you're seeking and have them take you for a ride. That or be tolerant to just trying them out and selling them if you don't like them.

Perhaps look into Hardrace or Mugen mounts, which are based off the OEM design but designed with a stiffer rubber. I only have experience with 85A innovative mounts - lots of vibrations everywhere, but its a track car so priority was given to keep drivetrain slop at a min.

I will be installing a set of Vibra-Technics Fast Road/street Engine Mounts next month(hopefully) on my daily S2000. I was told they have a little more NVH than the Spoon mounts. The Vibra-Technics mounts don't use the OEM heat shields and lower the engine 5mm.

I've got 2 sets of the Vibra-Technics Fast Road/street Engine Mounts left, if anyone is in the market for them.
