Default Help: Annoying Squeek/Rattle...

Hey guys,
I've got this consistent metalic squeek rattle in my S2K. It sounds like its coming from behind my head and on the passenger side but I can't pinpoint the source of the sound. It's pretty consistent anytime I'm driving and gets worse on bumpy roads. May be a conv top issue - any ideas??? I did a search and didn't find anything.

Check the spare tire. Tighten it down, or better yet, remove it altogether then go for a ride to see if the squeek goes away.

i've got this horrible rattle at all times coming from the passenger side, almost seems like its coming from the engine bay, but when i open the hood i cant hear it, it sounds like something may be loose and vibrating with the engine, it gets louder with RPM and sounds like two pieces of plastic rubbing together all the time, i'm a tech at toyota and have access to the lifts at all times but cant seem to find it, any one else have this or any ideas on what it could be?? its driving me insane it makes me almost not want to drive my baby

I had what I'd call a buzzing sound coming from the same area. Mine turned out to be the convertible top motor. Its below the passenger roll hoop and you can reach it (blindly) by removing the plastic tray the top stows into. I wedged some electrical tape between the motor and frame of the car and the buzzing was gone.

I've noticed the passenger seat rattle also and fixed it the same way you did.

I still hear the tire squeak on occasion.

Thinkding of placing a piece of carpet below the wheel to get rid of the annoyance completely.
