Default Help with my A/F gauge install?

Tried to install an air fuel gauge using the all white wire #16 in connector C from the ECU (Primary O2 sensor). The gauge does not bounce around or go rich at full throttle. It just rises slowly from lean to rich with out registering diferences from the car. Is there a different wire I need to use? Is this wire possibly insulated and I need to do something special to splice into it? Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks

I know that generally when using a a/f meter you really only get accurate readings when using it with a wide band O2 sensor. If not usually you get wide, rapidly fluctuating readings. At least that's how it is on my CRX.

CRX 18,

you have the right wire it is #16 on connector C as the senor for the AF guage. Check the O2 sensor itself, it could be faulty or a poor connection. Where are you connecting the wire, by the ECM?

I connected the wire right next to the connector going into the ECU. The gauge worked on my old car, a CRX. Maybe the quick splice connector I used did not get all the way through the ECU wire's coating? I just wanted to see if this is how other people are wiring there A/F gauges. Thanks
