Was your car formerly supercharged or turbocharged? This is the hose that is meant to go to the Fuel pressure regulator. it is the hose that is spliced for a rising rate fuel pressure riser. With this disconnected you have been running much higher fuel pressure, and have had a vacuum leak.

Do you get a CEL?

Trace it back to where it start and let us know. I have a service repair manuel here I can look it up for you, if its a stock part I'll trace it out for you. Did youo buy your car used or new?

used... in the last picture... it shows where it ends up... at the "T" connection... and then one side of the connection goes to the intake manifold... and im not sure where the other side goes

Ok let me see if I can figure it out but as a reference point I don't have that hose going over the IM.

Did you buy the car new or used?

one end goes directly to the stock fuel pressure regulator, the other to the intake manifold.

https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...1bd993846f.png This is the best pic I have. The hose is in the top right of the pic. Your car most likely had a supercharger or turbo at some time.

Well like Slows2k said that vacuum line was most likely connected to the fuel system at one time, my guess is you bought the car used and the previous owner had a super charger or a turbo kit on your car. The hose on a stock car is only about 6" long </> a little. Remove it and cut just a piece to go from the fuel pressure regulator to the intake manifold.
