Thumbs up Hood release cable broke. Hood can't open

Well my hood release cable broke so I can't pop it open now. It is attached inside the cabin so has to be by the latch or somewhere in between. I can't open the hood obviously so I can't pull the bumper off to get at the latch and all.
How is this done? Or am I basically screwed?

Try to unbolt the hood latch by reaching through the grill. I did this on an integra, i had just enough room to get the 10mm bolts that hold the latch on.

Ok cool. I'll see if I can get to it there.
I really hope it didn't snap somewhere in between latch and release. Hopefully can just reconnect it or something.

it would be easier to get to from under the car, on a lift if you have access. remove the center under panel and you should be able to reach the latch.

I have a spare of both the latch and cable if you need one. Make me an offer.

Yeah no lift or garage right now. I will if it's busted if I need one.

What a pain in the ass. Is there no way to just pop it from underneath? Like pull on were the cable attaches to or something without unbolting anything?

ya you can pull on where the cable attaches but its a pita unless part of the cable is still attached to the latch.

I see a cable thing going to it I think. Is the cable in a wire tube thing?
