I think it is time to change your PCV Valve.

This little piece can be pretty important if you spend extended time in VTEC. I had a couple of long periods staying above 6K with a blocked PCV and would up with serious oil leaks. Wound up replacing rear main seal, valve cover gasket, and removing and resealing the oil pan.
I disconnect my PCV valve from my rocker cover as part of this video, hopefully this helps give people a better idea of what they are doing:

Wow never knew about this!
134k on my 02, and have had it since 75k, so definitely needs doing!
I constantly have dirty, oily soot on my exhaust tips and it uses a ton more oil than it used to, so hopefully this will help!
Would Halfords sell these over the counter (UK) ?

Since AP2 pictures were missing on this thread and I would have never gotten into basic car maintenance if it wasn't for community DIY posts, I went ahead and wrote a how to: Replacing The Pcv Valve on a Honda S2000 AP2.

Tools
- Pliers
- Torque Wrench
- 17mm Deep Well Socket
Parts (diagram)
- PCV Valve (17130-PCX-003)
- 14mm Washer/Drain Plug - Same as oil washer (4109-14000)
- Optional: PCV Tube (17131-PCX-000)
- Optional: 2x D12 Tube Clamp (95002-41200-04)
Instructions
- Removal
- Locate the PCV Valve on the driver side of valve cover.
- Using pliers, loosen the hose clamp and move it farther down the hose. If replacing the hose, repeat at the opposite end.
- Pull the hose off of the PCV valve. If replacing the hose, repeat at the opposite end. Note: This took majority of my time as it was sealed on pretty tight. Try wiggling it and turning it. I resorted to using vice gripes to twist it off and a small screw driver to pry it since I was replacing the hose.
- Remove PCV valve using 17mm Deep Socket Well (counter-clockwise).
- Cleaning
- Clean the inner valve with WD40, brake cleaner or similar solvent.
- Clean the outer part that attaches to the silicon tubing with rubbing alcohol.
- Shake the PCV valve, you should hear rattling. If not, purchase a new one.
- Installation
- Place 14mm Crusher Washer on PCV Valve threads and torque to 44N/m (33lb/ft).
- Reattach the hose to the PCV Valve.
- Using pliers, loosen the hose clamps and return them to their original position.
- Verification
- Start car and at idle, pinch the PCV valve tube until you here a clicking sound. If there is no clicking sound, recommend replacing the PCV valve and tubing.

To add my experience to the sticky:
'01 28k miles (Car was only used 3 month / year since new)
Brought it home and within 400mi (test drive, 90mi drive home, tooling around town, etc) it had lost >1/2 qt of oil.. Not good!
Popped the PCV out and a first with a light shake it was not rattling. Once I gave it a vigorous rattle/tap against my other hand it "free'ed" up and started rattling.
Completed a oil change and grabbed a new PCV from Honda ($23).
Put 250mi of street driving and about ~50miles on the car at a track day and the oil consumption was down to less than 1 [X] on the dipstick.
