Default Idling Problem

I installed a new Skunk 2 70mm throttle body and now the engines idles at between 1500 to 1800. Any suggestions on how to get it back down? I loosened the throttle cable, but that did not do anything. Help!

Check and clean your Idle Air Controller (IAC) and the map sensor.

Since it didn't idle like that before he installed the throttle body, I don't think that is it.

i dont know the details of the skunk TB but i do remember some older cars having a screw on the throttle body that allows you to adjust how mmuch the butterfly closes. a stop for the butterfly closing.
look for something that might be similar to that.

disconnect battery cable for 10-15 minutes. let the ecu adjust to the change when reconnected and driven.
