Nailed it 100%. But at least Optima did have a 3 year warranty, so they replaced it for me. But then again, I could have gotten a battery at Costco for 1/3 the price and still get the 3 year warranty.

At least you still have a key you can turn off. When a push to start and push to stop car gets a low battery, it starts acting weird and you can't turn it off!
You try and start and thats equivalent of turning on key and trying starter. Then battery is too low and not enough juice to run ecu, etc. But its still 'on', and too confused for you to turn it off!
It won't get better until you charge battery enough. Meanwhile the draw from those things still being on, relays continuously clicking, lights flickering, etc works against your chargers efforts to get battery back on its feet.
I have a real problem with the same action being used for opposite mission critical and potentially dangerous tasks. In this case one button used the same way to both start and stop. From both a human panic situation as well as above machine standpoint.
