Intermittent Sputtering in VTEC... MAP Sensor?

I've been chasing down a few problems on my S recently and one that has popped up within the last month is some intermittent power loss/sputtering while in VTEC. I recently popped a CEL with a code for "Running rich on Bank 1". Does this sound like something that could be caused by the MAP sensor? My plan of action is going to be swapping my sensor out for a working one off of a local's S and see if that fixes it. If not, next step is a valve adjustment (been about 3-4k miles since I did it last). Any ideas as to what it might be?

It may be a cause of a MAP sensor going out or just coming loose during hard pulls. Have you tried resetting your ECU? Is your car misfiring under load at all?

Well, I ended up going over to a local stook friend's house yesterday and swapped in his MAP sensor that he had lying around. Looks like that fixed it! Seems like it takes off from a stop easier too. I'm planning on resetting the ECU on the new sensor tonight and hopefully the CEL's stay away.
No misfires, just running too rich. I'm guessing it was doing that because the old sensor wasn't picking up good readings and the ECU was running rich to play it safe.

Good! Reset, idle relearn, monitor it for a while then report back.
