first chance to Vtec, i floored it at around 5 thousand RPM. High cam switched over...but when it got to around 7 or little under, the car hessitated as if i let go of the throttle halfway! 500 RPM later, it got back on it's way to 9000. I was suprised....slowed down and rev-matched her at 30 MPH, first gear did fine all the way through. The road was wet so i didn't want to shift to 2nd. later on i did 3 more Vtec runs....they went fine. i think the ECU has something to do with it. My cousin has an AEM CAI in his GTS celica and he said it does that too when he just floors it really quick while rolling. From dead stop he doesn't experience it. So i guess it's normal but no one warned me. Sounds good to me, i wasn't surprised because ive heard the CAI in the celica GTS and ours just sound 1000 RPM higher. Pretty good.

I've noticed the area that the filter goes into was pretty much sealed exept small tiny holes and the left-over from the hold that the pipe goes into. I decided to cut a regtangular hole right next to the filter, exposing the filter where you can see from the front of the car through the grill. I've thought of cutting the fake vent..but the final decision works out better for me. Anyways, i got the red one...looks nice. compare to other cold air/hot air intakes for most cars....i think ours look like a python. Long as heck.

you know ive seen your pics before and i really want mines to look like yours. the billet cover is a little pricey though....i was thinking about a strut bar or something. Too empty there. I like your set up. Reall nice and pro looking. (none of the usual colorful ruber hoses that you see in supped up cars)
