Thumbs up Just lowered my car and rear vibration started!

What's up guys,

So the title states it all, I lowered my AP1 on Tein springs. I know everything is secured tightly. I went for a spin and when I get on it in first or any gear vibration starts in the rear but if I let off, it goes away! Any suggestions on what it could be? Any help would be great.

Cheers,

Ralph!

Look up cv joint swap. They get pitted and can be swapped from side to side so you will have a new surface. Or you can purchase halfshaft spacers and that should fix the problem as well. There is a diy on swapping the cv and if you search on vibration there are many topics.

Here is your problem:
Lowering a car looks sexy, until you realized you upset(not offset) the geometry.

Lowering a car will create unwanted space between the driveshaft roller and the spider(inside of the driveshaft). Will cause the inboard joint to uneven wear.

Install a spacer--try that!

i've always wondered if installing driveshaft spacers would fix the vibration rather than swapping cv joints.

Even on stock height the spacers will fix the vibration? Makes no sense to me since the surface is still scoured why would spacers fix an issue that requires new surface are to be corrected.

Get your alignment checked. Also check to see if your tires are cupped at all. I put spacers on mine thinking that was the problem and most of it was the alignment which in turn f'd the tires.
