LED Dash Lights

PLEASE SEE https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...&f=22&t=601913 FOR INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

Since many people keep asking me to make a thread for the I have found the time to finally.

So basically upon reading the following thread https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...&f=22&t=601913 I thought to myself I wonder if there is an LED alternative to the factory lights. I had seen other threads where some guys actually made printed circuit boards cut to fit in all the accessory areas with LED's soldered to them, but I figured there has to be an easier way to get some colour lights into my dash.

I looked around for Neowedge LED's and saw that a site I have dealt with in the past had some that looked to be just right. http://autolumination.com/74.htm

These are the bulbs that fit

IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION (by M00C0W25) THAT TYPE B BULBS ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN A PROPER TALL FORM AS SEEN HERE (Remember you will require a total of 4 Type B bulbs!)

The lights that go in the Radio Controls on the left of the dash, Start Button, Hazard button, roof switch, cruise control switch, and defrost switch are all "Type A" Bulbs There is a total of 12 you will need if you want to do all of them including the hazard button (I personally left it red because I felt it makes more sense. As for the AC controls you will need a total of 4 "Type B"

Here are some photos of the final result

I hope this thread helps all those who are looking to put a little color into their dash :tipwink:

They sure do, they have the same base as the OEM bulbs.

Kertef, Are they very bright? I dim my dash and gauges as much as possible during the night. Would these mess up the whole dimming look and be too bright? Or will they dimm just as much as bulbs?

The audio controls and start button will be brighter than oem even at their dimmest level, the AC control side is much dimmer thought because the "Type B" bulbs aren't quite as long as the OEM ones are.
