Click/Popping sound during transition between acceleration and deacceleration
I recently purchased an AP1 with 64k miles. As I am getting familiar with the car and trying to fix the small things the previous owner (old lady) had neglected, I started to notice a noise coming from under the vehicle. It is quiet, but there is a singular click or popping sound that occurs when transitioning from idle to acceleration or when transitioning to deacceleration. When idle or in continuous / sustained motion there is no noise.
My theory as of now is that the problem lies in a mount some where but I haven't been able to throw the car on a lift yet. The sound itself seems to come from the center of the vehicle which makes me think it might be a transition mount that is broken, missing, or loose.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? Due to the generic 'there is a sound' searches I didn't find much on the forum that perfectly match my situation. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Yup! You are going to need to get the thing on a lift and inspect.
Good luck!

Those old ladies have grand kids, or nephews so you never know. Maybe granny likes doing hand brake drifts.

Mine did it, you could clearly here the click pulling into and out of the garage, tightened the nuts down and no more clicking. (at the expense of a broken 1/2" to 3/4" adapter, yes I was putting that much pressure on it lol).
