Looking for Some Insight On clutch problem
Hey guys, Im really needing some help. My clutch pedal feels horrible and starts getting really stiff on me sometimes its hard to even barely push in..it also seems like the disengagement point changes too, yet the clutch doesnt slip one bit. This is a 2001 with 78k miles. The clutch itself still grabs great. I noticed a few weeks ago that my master cylinder was dripping inside the car so I replaced that already and bled the car correctly, I have also greased the clutch fork fingers that go over the throw out bearing. I have been having this problem for about four or five months. What really stumps me though is if I pull the slave cylinder off and grease the ball at the end and the cup on the clutch fork that it sits in the clutch feels EXCELLENT like brand new for about a week then it gets stiff again..could this mean that I just need to replace my slave cylinder? Im no mechanic and I was not sure since I dont see it leaking or anything...but I cant explain why greasing that ball would work for a week then it gets bad again..If I go high in the rpms it feels a bit softer but once I hit traffic or a few lights and have to start shifting a bit it stiffens up..any help or suggestions would be great! Thanks! :hello:
