Low compression in my s2k
hello guys , i does a compression test in my s2k , i think my number are low.
my s2k have a around 100k miles ,i does the test with cold engine and the numbers average is , 200-195-190-200
i does a second test with warm engine and the numbers average is , 175-180-175-180 WTF!!!??

How is your car running? Does it feel fine and strong and no other issues?
Common sense dictates that your compression numbers are probably fine because they are all *consistent* ... but a lot of the armchair mechanics on here will tell you your engine is about to die (OR IS SUPER WEAK BRO!!!) because you aren't blowing 240/240/240/240 on all cylinders. The largest variance between 175 and 180 is 5psi (or only 2.9%). Your gauge probably reads low and/or elevation factor and/or car was too cold.

Helms manual:
- Nominal: 228 psi
- Min: 135psi
- Max variation: 28psi
- Engine at operating temp (hot)
- Pull all spark plugs out
- WOT
- crank each cylinder the same amount (5-7 times)
- Injectors unplugged

the car runs well and has power but burns a little oil and often have to fill the oil level and when I stop at traffic lights with the soft top removed, it gives me burnt oil smell from the exhaust

Are you buring more than a liter every 1,600km?

If battery gets low, compression won't be accurate. Numbers will be low. Is it possible battery was weak from test 1, so even though engine was warm for test 2, battery was lower than test 1?

yeah, the battery put it in the trunk and the boot is always some voltage drop, can this be a factor, take this into account thanks
