i heard that if you lower you s2k that it will reduce the life of you driveshaft. Is that true. Unless you use a driveshaft spacer.

This is true for all cars, not just S2k's. AWD especially since its tough on the driveshaft plus on the front half-shafts!

While it may add stress to the driveshaft, you don't read a whole lot of posts complaining of failed driveshafts. Failed diffs, yes; failed clutches certainly but not a lot of failed driveshafts.

Ty, i only plan on lowering about an inch with tein flex coilover, i just want to take advantage of the dampening.

driveshaft goes from the tranny to the rear diff. you are talking about the halfshaft. or many other names but not driveshaft.

yeah drive shaft spavers refer to the to the axles not the drive shaft from the tranny to the diff.

that has a fixed angle that is uneffected by lowering.

btw, i read your story about the charger. thats funny. sounds like you made some money on that deal too. congrats

Honda calls the half shafts on the S2000 drive shafts, and calls the "drive shaft" a propeller shaft.
