MY 2007 Test Pipe?

I'm interested in getting a test pipe for MY 2007 this spring when I pull my car out of storage. On the berktechnology site it states that 06-07 S2000 with drive by wire have high incidents of CEL. Are there any test pipes that will not give a CEL?

no not really, the newer s2ks with the dbw are harder to get the cel to stay off. alot of people have been using numerous anti-foulers to get it to stay off

if you have the hondata reflash will they turn cel off

Are they any other performance mods as cheap as a test pipe that are worth while? I don't have any emission regulations to worry about. I planning on saving up for a turbo this year but doesn't look like it will be in for 2008 driving season.

berk also sells a high flow cat that is supposed to give most of the benefit of a test pipe but without cels. its not too much more expensive either.

for the money a test pipe is a good choice

i'm running a 70mm invidia tp on my '07 with no problems or cel.

invidia has a built-in fix and i also added the defouler trick.

not true for the '06+ reflash.

only available on the '00-'05 s2k's with hondata's rsx kpro conversion. this is not available for '06+ models

Something I did on another car some time ago, although is was a Ford .... Not Honda. 02 sensors all work basically the same ... right?

I purchased this as part of a header install because it removed the cat; it was a resistor (I think) that modified the voltage the ECU received from the rear 02 sensor.

So even though there was no CAT. The ECU seen normal signals. It worked with no problems and with no ECU changes.

Would this not be an option with the S2000, seems like a simple fix.

Am I missing something?

Hear is a link "Not for the S2000" but could be useful for reference. I'm new to the S2000 and not sure if the wiring is the same.

I think comptech makes a module/box that does that. Its like 130 bucks though. The problem with modifying the signal (that I've heard) is that the frequency of the modified signal changes over time and with set off the cel cause it goes out of the normal frequency. thus a mechanical fix is the easiest. I'd have no clue about the drive by wire setup though. it might be easier to use the electrical o2 simulator.
