My car feels like the power steering in gone!
Tonight I ran with a WS6 (I started to pull in 3rd every time, by the way) and then after the run I pulled into my friends drive way to drop him off about a miles away. Then when I tried pulling out of the drive way, at that moment, my steering wheel became almost impossible to fully crank the wheel. It was very tough to drive 10 miles home but I made it. I check the fluids and they are fine. There is no weird noises wheel driving or turning the steering wheel. I have no idea what it is. My tech is out of town for a week and I am afraid to drive it. Please help!!!
The power steering is electric, not hydraulic. It has no fluid.
Is the EPS light on?
I'd be suspicious of some melted wiring from the turbo on your car.The EPS control unit is mounted on the inner fender behind the battery.

You know I had this same problem about a month ago. I was pulling into my garage and the steering wheel suddenly got very heavy. When I came back to my car the EPS light was on. The local dealership just put in a new EPS module and all is well.
You know, I was pulling an s2k in the other day, and the EPS light came on and the steering assist went out. This car without a doubt needed a battery, wonder if that was the cause.

Thanks agin slows2k.
