Is This My Timing Chain Tensioner?
Picked up my AP1 a few days ago, deep in love. I want to do everything to it t get it running in top shape. I notice when I'm driving and on very light throttle I can hear this vibrating/fluttering coming from under the hood. The faster I go it seems to get more silent or go away. Bought the car with 93k, who knows when the previous owner replaced the TCT so I'm gonna get the Ballade sports heavy duty TCT for $275.

TCT noise is typically most noticeable at idle, not while driving.
Its not a bad idea to change it before there is a problem, so get that at of the way and see if noise is still there.
Also, consider the Billman tct. He has a lifetime guarantee, and uses the well built oem unit as the core, with modifications to address the issue with it from the factory.

I would guess an exhaust issue or possible engine/trans mount. Although with an engine/trans mount you would feel the vibration more than you would hear it normally.
I would get under your car and check out your full exhaust from headers back, shake it around and inspect all the hangers.
the reason I would guess that its exhaust related is due to the fact that it goes away. It could just be the exhaust hitting a certain frequency that makes it vibrate strangely and foul with another part on the car.
does the vibration depend on the speed of the car or will it make the same noise when you rev it in park.

Rebuilt with new or refurbished piston and worm. Billman and others say that remove all and reinstallation alone will provide temporary relief, so it's worth your time for that. Just be prepared to wind it back up prior to install.
