I searched for old forums about this, but didnt find anything helpful. Any how, I have a Nordskog digital boost gauge which I am putting in my SOS pod. I believe these are the same gauges used in the radio doors. I got it from Summit along with a sender. I was wondering where the sender unit connects to and where the wires coming out of the boost gauge connects to. The sender does not look like it has connecting areas for wires. I am also guessing I need more wires, connectors, or fittings than what was sent to me.
If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
Are you asking where to tap in to a vacuum/boost source? If this is what you are asking, then you can "T" into the rubber hose that runs from the top of the fuel pressure regulator to the intake manifold. As for the actual gauge connections, sorry, don't have a clue. Email Rick Hesel. He did the radio door gauges.
revhi, tell me what you have in the kit and I will let you know what you have to do
I just installed my Defi electrical boost gauge last night.
Now I am looking for a spot to put my oil temp sensor in. I have thought about tapping it at the oil pressure sender unit but I like to leave that for the oil pressure gauge later on.

Hi, so I need a "T" fitting? The sender does not look like it has anywhere to attach wires on to. Do I need more wire or hoses, if so where can I get the needed accessories?
Rick never takes PM's. You must use only email and he's a pretty busy guy so he may not get back to you immediately.
Here's a pic of my boost gauge T's and tubes. I have a mechanical guage so this is to only give you an idea of how to tap for manifold pressure.
My sender is much bigger than that and looks different. I dont want to bother Rick with this install stuff. I guess I'll hope he sees this or I'll call Summit up and ask them.
Where did you get the extra hoses and fittings?
I have installed that guage and it sucked. You want to attach the sender to the vacuum tube that xviper posted a pic of. You will need to go to the hardware store and buy a fitting with a nipple so the vacuum tube can attach to the sender. You will also need to attach a ground wire to it. I did this by attaching a ring fitting on the ground wire and putting this on the bottom of the sender above where the vacuum tube connects. I then screwed the nipple adapter with the vacuum tube attached so that it secures the ground wire that is attached. There should be a screw at the top of the sender. This is where you attach the wire that will run to the gauge. Below is a pictures so you can see what Im talking about.
