What about the mains, and cylinder walls? Use OEM rings, bearings too, but if the rest of the bottom end checks out, maybe all you need is a new set of cams and caps.

I didnt check the main bearings but didnt see no chunks of metal in the pan and the cylinder walls look normal for 175k miles on it. I already found a head locally im picking up that I'm going to drop off my machine shop to get it checked out. As for timing chain. Do i need to buy a new tensioner too?

You won't need a new tensioner, especially if you have Billman one.

Thank you everyone for your help and also being a new member on here I have a lot of questions.. I tried to take off the crank pulley bolt with the honda tool but i couldnt because i noticed the motor mounts are broken and as soon as i go to loosen the bolt the block moves with it... lol. My guess is buy new mounts and then loosen the crank pulley bolt? I am going to buy Hasport 60a mounts i dont mind vibrations due to this being my race car and had all my past cars with solid mounts.

Just pull harder or tap on it gently and it will come off, mine was stuck a bit too.

Thank you everyone with your help. I finally got new motor mounts due to both being shot and not being able to loosen the crank pulley bolt to change the timing chain and change the oil pump. I am getting the head rebuilt now with all OEM seals and guides. I am going to keep the block as is and clean it all up and put the head back on. I ordered ARP head studs and oem head gasket. Anything else i should change or look into before re assembling the head and motor?

You can likely re-use your oem head bolts, either way I'd go oem.

ARP head studs will result in LESS clamping force than oem bolts.

This is true under most circumstances, but mostly because people don't own a stretch guage nor even know that arp headstuds and mainstuds and rodbolts require pre-stretching. Its best to just use OEM.
